Utility Bills
5/13/2025
FYI...We have been advised by the US Postal Service that the Town's monthly utility bills mailed on May 5, 2025, are still in Baton Rouge. That is why no one has received them yet. The Postmaster advised that upon their receipt of them, they would let us know, so that we can let y'all know they are ready for pickup at the Post Office. Because of this postal issue, the Town will not be charging a late fee for the month of May. We apologize, but unfortunately, it is out of our hands. Also, you can still pay your bill at the Town Hall without having the original bill in hand. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are asking you to not call them regarding any of these items. The Port Barre Town Hall is the main contact for such issues. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. In the event that you have an issue outstide of these hours of operation, please call our main line 337-585-7646, and you will be given the option to contact/dial our on-call line. All phone calls should come through the Town Hall. We try our best to keep our customers informed in advance, if possible, should any issues arise with water, gas, sewer and street problems, through our website's subscription procedure and Facebook page. Also, the Town's Facebook page is for informational purposes only. All questions, concerns, work orders, etc. should be called in. Thank you.

Service Lines of Water Meters
7/30/2024
Good afternoon, all. Please be advised that starting Wednesday, July 31, 2024, our utility crew will be digging at every water meter within our system. The State of Louisiana is mandating that every water system within the State dig and verify what type of lines are being used on the Town and Customer's sides (example pvc, metal, etc.) and report back to them by October. This is for visual purposes only, and will not interrupt your service. This project will take time, and we are hoping that all goes well. Once the services lines are identified, the utility crew will place the dirt back in the hole. If you have any questions, please contact the Town Hall at 337-585-7646.
