NOTICE
In accordance with Act 186 of 1984, the public is hereby notified that the proposed budget of the Town of Port Barre for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026 is available for inspection
at Town Hall, Port Barre, Louisiana between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
Also, the public is hereby notified that a public hearing will be held on September 28, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Port Barre, Louisiana. The purpose of this public hearing is to allow citizens to provide comments and opinions on the proposed budget of the Town of
Port Barre, Louisiana for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026 and ending September 30, 2027.
Additionally proposed amendments to the budget of the Town of Port Barre for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026 may be considered at the public hearing to be held on September 28, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Port Barre, Louisiana. This proposed amended budget is shown as the estimated 2026 amounts on the September 30, 2027 budget document.
A special meeting will follow the public hearing in order to consider adoption of ordinances to amend the 9/30/2026 budget and adopt the year ended 9/30/2027 operating budget.
